Born in 1974 on the Massachusetts peninsula known famously as Cape Cod, Jason Covert was originally trained as a studio artist, graduating from Connecticut College with a Bachelor of Fine Arts.

After a short stint working in the world of New York fashion photography, Jason's attentions turned towards the natural with a focus on the outdoors as studio.

Entirely self-taught as a photographer, his keen eye for detail (developed through his work in illustration) found a bevy of subjects in the literal minutiae of the world at large: by slowing down and looking very, very closely an enormous variety of imagery presents itself.

Jason now lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.
